Official Review:
Rich aromas and flavors of apple pie and creme brûlée develop into rich warm notes of toast, baked apple and pear, cream and butter. Lemon, flowers, bread, and vanilla on the nose. On the palate, lemon and wood and vanilla with nice acidity and a full midpalate. Short-to-moderate finish.

 Wine Folly:
Found on page 96, this Chardonnay is described as having a yellow apple, starfruit, pineapple, vanilla, and butter flavor. It has a high alcohol and acidity content with some body and sweetness. This grape is most commonly grown in France, The United States, and Italy. Foods with creamy, butter flavors with soft textures are the best pairings. 

 Personal Review:
To the nose, there are strong smells of pear and buttery and cream with a hint of an acidic quality. Upon the taste, the smells are there but the acidity really shines. Also to note in the taste is a strong pear and bread component. The after taste of this wine brings out a very strong butter feel. I guess this is what the name refers to as the " buttery bomb".

Bordeaux Blend

Name: Rue de Perle Variety: Bordeaux Blend (Red) Region: Bordeaux Country: France Year: 2018 Price: 10$ Official Review: Solid little Bordeaux, designed and sold to be consumed young. Has the typical Brdx flavors of wood berries (strawberry, boisenberry, raspberry...) but a milder version. Does not have the "oakiness" (tannin flavors) because this wine is produced by a French wholesaler who blends wines from metallic tanks (a common practice, no criticism meant). They did a good job here: end result is a sophisticated-if-light Bordeaux ready to drink. Folly Review: Found on page 83, this wine is a blend of black currant, black cherry, graphite, chocolate, and dried herbs. I taste very strongly the black currant, but I am surprised in my inability to distinguish the chocolate.
